The MERMAID skirt

Some call these the mermaid skirts, trumpet skirts, peplum-hem skirts, or flutter Skirts-it all means the same thing. And if you don't already own one, I'm about to tell you real quick why you should. This skirt is so sexy yet so classy. It covers well while flaunting the derriere and gives you a very shapely figure. It is a simple and elegant trend that is good for all body types and shapes. Whether you are tall or short, slim or curvy, this is a MUST for your wardrobe this spring and summer. It is also the perfect skirt to transition into the fall and winter as it is not too short, but also not too long so you can still show off fabulous shoes, Hunny!
These skirts can be very forgiving for different body types. For example, if you have bigger hips, it will draw the attention to the bottom of the skirt. If you aren't very hippy, it hugs in a way that gives your curves (like myself, LOL)!
I love this particular tu-tu trumpet skirt that I received from Bella B. Rose Boutique and I definitely suggest it. You can easily bring your sophisticated runway fantasy to life with this mermaid-style midi skirt. I love the black color and the tulle peplum hem because it is perfectly designed for date night, girls' night, dinner, events, and beyond! It features an on-trend high waistband, fitted solid black body, and a plume of pleated tulle circling the hem to finish. I paired it with a black see-through top with polka dots, a bow collar, and black heels and bag. I didn't need to go overboard with anything because the skirt was such a statement piece! I felt AMAZING in this outfit!
