Life Is Not Black & White--But Your Season Transition Clothes Should Be...

If the term “matching sets” still brings to mind a business suit--think again! This season’s collection of two-piece sets is the epitome of classy, feminine and flirty--incorporating everything from crop tops to sheer lace. A matching set with a skirt is a fresh take on a dress--perfect for everything from a meeting, to a lunch date, to a night out on the town. (Tip: to really take advantage of the most that matching sets have to offer, don’t forget to split them up! Both pieces can also be worn as separates, meaning it will work overtime in your wardrobe.)
Picking the right outfit during this transitional time between winter and spring can be daunting. While we are so anxious to spring ahead wearing our new ensembles, the weather makes it a little difficult in most parts of the country--especially here in the South. Well, no worries--the two piece black & white set from Fashion Frenzy ATL that I'm rocking here is perfect for a day or night during this in-between time. For one, black and white outfits make up unique combinations and are known for their grace, elegance, and style--no matter the time of the day or time of the year. Just remember that the garment fabric makes a big difference. Opt for thicker knits that feature summer cuts like shorter sleeves or skirts and pair with scarves/jackets on those cooler days.
In all, quality basics are worth the investment! Neutrals such as black and white can easily transition to spring. These key pieces will make your outfits work, no matter the season.
My outfit is the perfect example as the fabric features a high quality, thick knit material. The cropped top is long enough to not show skin, yet adjustable to bare a little midriff later on in the night. This style is sophisticated, yet playful; perfect for sprucing up your work wardrobe!
P. S. There is no denying that a black and white look is one of my favorite go-tos no matter what the season. For some fresh inspiration on how to wear this color combo, keep watch on my part 2 of this look that will be Valentine's Day inspired!
P. P. S. Fashion Frenzy ATL & I have started a collaboration and I am both excited and looking forward to showing off more pieces from this boutique! I am so honored that the owner reached out to me to model her gorgeous pieces!
