"Olive" You, Dusty Rose

Winter fashion is in full swing and Spring fashion is around the corner! One of the colors that I cannot get enough of right now is dusty rose. From Prada’s pretty in pink print and Jil Sander’s lamé dress, to all-over at Gucci; whether dusty rose or bright magenta, pink has been a strong feature on the Fall/Winter 2016-2017 catwalks. However, today we will focus on dusty rose.
Dusty rose is the perfect shade of pink right now. Because of its muteness, it is an amazing "pop of color" choice this winter and will continue to look great as we look forward into the warmer months. Although it is technically a color, I find it to be as versatile as a neutral as it pairs well with a variety of hues. I suggest pairing it with darker shades right now. For total commitment to the dusty rose trend, a coat will be the savviest investment!
Here I decided to wear rock dusty rose in a luxurious maxi-style lightweight duster featuring satin fabrication for an easy, breezy extra layer styled over a white, lace crop top and suede, olive green skirt (that's actually a part of a two-piece dress set). Lightweight duster coats are perfect because they upgrade any outfit and encourage trans-seasonal layering; thus, it can be worn now and into Spring.
Just wanted to share: I wore this outfit/color combo in honor of my sorority's Founders' Day today! Happy Founders' Day to all of my beautiful Sorors of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated!
